Meghan Murray is an Irish R&B Pop singer-songwriter. Born in Belgium, she moved to Cork in 2014 to start her undergraduate degree in music at UCC. In the summer of 2017, Meghan started writing her own music which led to recording her debut EP in Monique Studios the following year.
Her debut EP ‘Out of Mind’ has garnered high praise from the likes of Niall Byrne of the Irish Times and Nialler9, calling her music “sophisticated R&B pop”. Meghan has gotten radio play on RTÉ 2FM, RTÉ Radio 1, Cork’s RedFM, 98FM and Craic Radio Philadelphia as well as being featured on Nialler9’s ‘Best New Irish Music’ playlist and the Spotify editorial playlist ‘A Breath of Fresh Éire’.
Following a co-headlining Irish tour with fellow singer-songwriter Laura Duff in March/April of this year, Meghan had the pleasure of playing at Electric Picnic at the end of August. She now looks forward to showcasing at prestigious Irish music festival ‘Ireland Music Week’ on October 4th in the Button Factory.
Hailed as “an artist with highly stylised sound and the voice to carry it” (Stephen White, The Last Mixed Tape), Meghan’s candid reflections on relationships are delivered in a fresh and unique style combining elements of R&B, Pop and Soul. Since the release of the first singles from the EP, Murray has established herself as “a sincere and dynamic emerging Irish R&B/Soul artist” (Luke Sharkey, Nialler9).
